Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Spotlight.

February 3, 2025

We’re proud to share that Third Term was featured in ATD Magazine as part of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion section. The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is a global professional organization dedicated to supporting companies that invest in developing the knowledge and skills of their employees.

The April issue highlighted our Workplace Harassment course, a program designed using the latest learning strategies and audiovisual tools to help organizations strengthen workplace culture, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Inclusivity and tolerance are not new concepts, but they have become increasingly essential in today’s workforce. Technology has made global collaboration seamless, yet recent events have revealed gaps in how well employees are prepared to navigate diverse environments. This evolving landscape calls for training that builds empathy, sharpens awareness, and encourages behaviors that carry beyond the workplace.

So how do we help learners read a situation, understand another person’s perspective, and recognize their own biases? Here are a few of the methods we’ve integrated into our Workplace Harassment course:

Branching Scenarios

Learners navigate realistic workplace situations and make decisions at key moments. While it’s easy to choose the “correct” answer from a list, branching scenarios challenge learners to adapt when the story shifts—mirroring the unpredictability of real interactions.

Role Playing

By stepping into the roles of a bully, a victim, and a bystander, learners gain insight into the motivations, pressures, and emotions that shape behavior. This perspective‑taking deepens understandingand builds empathy.

Self‑Assessment

Interactive quizzes prompt learners to reflect on their own experiences, assumptions, and reactions. How inclusive are you? Can you recognize subtle forms of harassment? These moments of introspection help learners identify areas for growth.
